She was well known for her writings as well as her public stances on political and social issues of the day. R. H. Livingstone (1873-1944) born in Chicago Illinois, was a writer and illustrator who worked for National Allied Publications, the predecessor to the modern DC comics publishing house. John Parker (1917-2004) was an American artist who started illustrating magazines and painted covers in the 1940s.
