Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor Informationehana Obaray is a fifty-nine-year-old mother of three daughters and nine beautiful grandchildren. They are her first love. Her other passions are cooking, baking and yoga...not necessarily in that order. She is an avid reader and loves poetry. Her formative years were rooted in a home where the Islamic Faith shaped her upbringing...infusing her daily life with its customs and values. At sixteen she dropped out of High School and embarked on a short journey in the nursing profession. She finished Grade 12 later in her life. She completed qualifications in Educare, Marketing, Sales and Public Relations. She also very recently obtained an on-line Certificate in English Tuition, through a college in the U.K. In 1999, she found employment in a call centre and later, also as receptionist at a Statutory Organisation. As a single mother, she held these two jobs for a few years. After 20 years, she resigned from the Organisation. She suffered sexual violation as a child and endured a physically and emotionally abusive marriage. Subsequently, she has suffered and triumphed over seven nervous breakdowns. Diagnosed with Bi Polar in 2007, she had to navigate the daunting road of social stigma and had to overcome the Augean challenge that accompanied this illness. She now lives a healthy, fruitful and like she unapologetically puts it, 'relatively sane life'. She believes that everyone has a story to tell. This is hers.
