Overview

Welcome to the curious tale of a banjo-playing Cajun musician's life in Kyoto, Japan. Old Man Joe, as he is affectionately called, and his Japanese wife often spend Sunday afternoons drinking tea and collaborating with musicians from distant lands. Each song in French offers an introduction of sorts to quirky characters like Joe's mother and Little Miss Adle, who calls herself ""All."" Gentle watercolor illustrations and a mishmash of instrumentation give this musical picture book a fanciful appeal. The accompanying recordings can be accessed with a QR code printed in the book."
