In Prismatica, the ""mood of the room"" isn't a metaphor; it's a health hazard. Meet Barnaby Black: The man who sees in boring. Barnaby is a private investigator with a rare medical ""defect"" he is Concept-Blind. While the rest of the world is being manipulated by neon mists of Greed (Green) and sulfurous clouds of Cowardice (Yellow), Barnaby sees everything in glorious, old-fashioned, noir-standard Grayscale. He's the only man in the city who can walk through a Blue Sector without bursting into tears or order a coffee in a Red Sector without punching the barista. The Impossible Crime. Her husband, a master Color-Blender, has vanished from a locked room inside the Cathedral of Total Silence. It should be an open-and-shut non-case.
