Overview

Diomedes, a Spartan warrior forcibly taken by an alien being to a distant and mystical planet, confronts his troubled past and finds romance while battling his enemies in an attempt to get his people home. On a world where wars can only be fought with swords and spears, he leads a veteran Spartan army that answers the call to battle. Amidst ruins of a civilization destroyed long ago, a great technology still functions. Seemingly the work of the gods, one drink from its atomically altered waters has the power to grant total enlightenment or painful judgment.
