Author Information

Rodney Quinn grew up in County Wicklow, Ireland, until his mother moved to London with him and his siblings. From early on he travelled widely – back and forth between London and Ireland (Galway, and later Cork), a Buddhist group in Leicester, Glasgow, and more recently Yorkshire. Rodney began writing in the early 1990s while in Cork. Being dyslexic, he first experimented with wordplay poems before turning to drama in 2004, when he became involved with the Cork Arts Theatre. There he wrote Over the Top and Birds Still Fly, his first plays, later published by Amaurea Press as Two Plays of War and Peace. He has continued writing since: My Friend Al premiered in Cork in 2010; while Doug & Lillian debuted at the South London Theatre in 2015. His plays have also been performed in Scotland and Australia.
