OverviewTwins and Ginger features two unrelated fictional short stories, each one set to capture your imagination. The first one, entitled “Twins”, is centred around Jude and James who never fall out or disagree with each other. Their father has a very important Government role and works abroad so is unable to make contact with his sons, although he never forgets their birthdays. Their mother is hardly ever at home either, as she spends time with her aristocratic friends. The boys are looked after by their next door neighbour, referred to as Mrs C. The twins have very close school pals called Ken and Adie, who collectively refer to themselves as “Team JJAK”. Their teacher set the team a task to write a report based on their interpretation of any “conspiracy theory” of their choice. They meet in the twins’ home to work out which theory they would use and agreed also to spend the weekend working on it. Due to questions asked by Ken and Adie the twins realise there may be a conspiracy in their own home. What they discovered, and who could be trusted, was unbelievable. The second story called “Ginger” features a boy known as Joe, who has no interest in education at all. He just wants to bully all of the other kids, and take whatever’s in their pockets. He hears there’s a new boy arriving in the school soon and wants to make him his next target. He notices his hair colouring and already decides to call him Ginger. Ginger seems to be younger than himself and also looks very weak. Joe decides it will be easy pickings when he gets to tackle him. Joe, however, realises he has never come across anyone like Ginger before and finds himself at a loss how to deal with him. What transpires next for Joe is life-changing. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationThe family Hugh M Jackson was born into was, in some way, a family of two halves. Two boys were born in the years just before WW2 started, but in that same period, there had been some miscarriages where each of those were female. When the war ended and the family reunited, the second part of the family was born. At last they had the gift of a daughter, but that only became possible because she had been protected in the womb by her twin brother, who was Hugh M Jackson, the youngest of the family. The girl was absolutely adored by the parents, who showed no love for Hugh who came into the world with health issues. Throughout his childhood life he felt no love from any other family member and only knew mistreatment and abuse. He learned to become quietly strong enough to be able to bear pain and sorrow within, in order to show no weakness. None of his family could see him crying or being in pain as a result. He kept himself to himself and had no dialogue with any of them, unless it was an absolute necessity. This was the rock upon which his character was formed for the rest of his life. A man of honour and honesty, kindness, love and empathy. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
