Overview

20 years ago, Marissa Daley was in a fatal car crash that cost Marissa her life. Two days later, her husband had a heart attack and died. Ten years later, her daughter, Kaycee, decided to be an actor, because it was easier to pretend to be someone else than to confront the trauma from her past. Now, 20 years later, Kaycee is an accomplished actor who is known all over the world from various movies. Although she has had amazing success, things have been slow lately and she hasn't been able to land any jobs. But she then gets a call from a producer asking her to be in a new movie he was producing. Happy to have a role again, Kaycee says yes right away. But she soon realizes that the actor that plays her mom in the movie happens to be the one person who caused her real mother's death in the car crash that happened 20 years ago that took her life. And.... that the very plot of the movie is very similar to what happened to her mother 20 years ago. Kaycee can't abandon the job, but she also can't stand the thought of working with the woman who killed her mother 20 years ago. Kaycee ends up taking the job, and as she gets lured deeper into the movie, she starts getting closer to the woman who was in the car crash with her mother. She realizes that maybe things weren't so simple. That maybe it wasn't this woman's fault after all. Kaycee begins to question everything that she'd heard growing up after her mom's death, and soon begins to realize that maybe the wrong people were blamed and that both of the people involved were really not at fault after all. That maybe those behind the scenes played a bigger role this whole time.
