Author Information

Hélène Bidaut-Palma, born in 1972 in Grenoble, is a senior lecturer in British studies in Aix-Marseille université (France). Specialising in British history, she has published various articles and books about important historical characters, events and eras, such as Henry Home Lord Kames and the Scottish Enlightenment, Lady Elisabeth Craven and her journey to Constantinople, and Lady Hester Stanhope's life in Lebanon. This is her first publication in the United Kingdom.
