Twent10ne is a collection of unique retellings recounting the 21-days the author had spent traveling back to the country she once called home. The poems reflect some of the thoughts, experiences, and sentiments that not only come with facing possible changes but also recognizing the more valuable and unseen things have stayed the same. And even though sights and sounds may change, one's belongingness and shared experiences keep connections strong between long-distance friendships. This is a celebration of relationships not measured and hindered by time and space.

Author Information

Eunice started writing poems when she was a young child - most of which were inspired by her family and her dearest older brother with special needs. Born and raised in the Philippines, she prefers the hot, tropical weather than the cold, dry winters of the U.S., where she now resides. Emigrating as a young adult, she often thought of the found family and friends she had to leave behind. After 10 years of waiting, she finally traveled back to the Philippines. She documents her travel in this first-ever published poetry collection.
