Author Information

Shane Read is a multiple award-winning and best-selling author and an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law. His most previous textbook, Winning at Deposition, won the highest honor for a legal textbook, the Association of Continuing Legal Education's top honor for Professional Excellence. He is the only author to win this award twice. He is a graduate of both Yale and the University of Texas School of Law. He began his career at Akin Gump and since 1998 has worked on civil cases as an Assistant United States Attorney in Dallas, Texas.
