The Future of Social Work and Concluding ThoughtsReviewsTurner's Social Work Treatment provides a very in-depth, comprehensive overview of theories used in social work practice in the U.S. Some of the strengths include adding authors that have expertise in each theory to all chapters. Furthermore, there is a detailed section of each chapter that provides readers with a guide of how to conduct assessments and interventions guided in each approach. The case examples offer readers real-world examples that are relevant and connect theory and practice. * Dr. Catherine LaBrenz, Assistant Professor, University of Texas at Arlington * This is a comprehensive book on social work theory that show various theories' application to social work practice. It reads easily and takes a fresh perspective on even the most dated theories, exploring major theoretical perspectives in a broad manner rather than separating out and explaining the many branches and revisions of major theory; this helps students who may be befuddled by the myriad theories, perspectives, and lenses typically offered by social work theory classes. * Dr. Pam Szczygiel, Assistant Professor, Bridgewater State University * Author InformationFrancis J.
