Turn Pain Off: A Self-Help Guide to Alleviate Musculoskeletal Pain Using Trigger Point Relief Technique

Overview

This illustrated book is designed as a guide to complement what western medicine offers and NOT to replace it. Finding what your body will respond to sometimes requires trying different types of treatment. The information in this book gives you an opportunity to take control as it allows you to address common muscle trigger points (muscle knots) - tender contracted muscle bands or tight muscles causing skeletal muscle pain, in the comfort of your own home. The book describes what can cause common musculo-skeletal (the muscles that support the skeleton) pain and offers a technique to guide you through how to find and relieve trigger points using acupressure. It also provides stretching exercises for areas where self acupressure is not appropriate and to help avoid recurrence of trigger points and some lifestyle tips. It also highlights when to consult professionals. The author believes that our body is energy and with tapping into and moving the energy our bodies can be stimulated to relieve pain. She wishes a pain free, happy life to all her readers and anyone suffering from pain and hopes that the information in this book provides help and gives you relief.
