S. TOGAN is Professor of Economics at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. He has published extensively on international trade issues. His publications include Foreign Trade Regime and Trade Liberalization in Turkey During 1980s and The Economy of Turkey since Liberalization (edited with V.N. Balasubramanyam). - V.N. BALASUBRAMANYAM is Professor of Development Economics at Lancaster University. He has published extensively on international investment and development issues. He is author of The Economy of India: Meeting the Third World Challenge (with A.I.MacBean) and Multinationals in the Third World.
