David's inspiration comes from his ancestors of the Tsimshian Tribe from Northern British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. David has dedicated over 40 years of his life to the revitalization and rebirth of Tsimshian arts and culture. Steve Quinn is a Seattle-based writer whose work for twelve years placed him in Alaska, where he first met David Boxley and members of his dance group, Git Hoan, who traveled from Seattle to perform in Juneau.
