Overview

In this first book of David Stahler Jr.’s startling new trilogy, a teen boy whose community chooses blindness as a way of life is stricken with sight and hurled into adventure. He’ll learn just how much beauty and terror there is to see in a world that is blind—but only if he’s willing to look. David Stahler Jr. brings a crisp and accessible new voice to sci–fi for young adult readers. Publishing History: Tr 0-06-052285-2

Reviews

""A thought-provoking tale strongly reminiscent of Lowis Lowry's The Giver."" - School Library Journal ""Stahler's sightless community is both compelling and believable."" - Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books ""The nonstop action leaves eager readers waiting for the final installment."" - Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books Praise for Truesight: ""Stahler's powerful debut novel is two parts science-fiction thriller and one part cautionary fable. Supple writing and unusual twists should keep readers firmly hooked."" - Publishers Weekly
