Lots of A-Ha moments, eyebrow raisers, and chuckles - history revisited! Author Jonny Katz continues to impress with his knowledge of, at times, obscure facts and memorable true stories that have evaded our attention - until she opens the lid and lets the fun spill out. The material is delivered in a lighthearted manner, in large typeface for those without reading glasses, and while the facts are terrific for entertaining (or impressing) friends at gatherings, the information provided is all factual and informative. For those who were around in the1950s this time-warp book is a treasure to revive memories and inform us about the facts and stories we may have missed (or have forgotten...!) And for all the Millennials who treasure the initial beginnings of some current trends, this is a fine resource. As Jonny states, 'The 1950s was a decade of challenge and of change; a decade that brought us Rock and Roll, color television, great movies and fantastic actors, social upheaval, space exploration, hope and prosperity. It marked the earliest beginnings of our computer age and saw tremendous advances in medicine.'
