Author Information

The author lives in the Kansas City, Missouri area and takes tremendous pride in her family, friends, and the world's most supportive husband. She has been a hair stylist and salon owner for her working career and after years of writing since childhood, she is now ready to share her rhyming stories with others.Life's journey and relationships along the way have inspired her to write stories of friendship, working together, and not giving up on achieving that special goal. When she is not writing, you might find her playing word games with her husband, experimenting with recipes, being a dedicated fan at her daughter's art shows or being a doting grandmother to her son and daughter-in-law's new baby boy. Troll and Mouse, The Journey, is the author's third book in the series and tells the story of the little tailor mouse's journey to help the Princess Troll. Jean McMullen is an artist/illustrator/teacher/gallery owner. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Masters in Secondary Art Education. Jean taught Art in the public schools for 25 years and presently owns and teaches watercolor at Missouri Artists On Main in St. Charles, Missouri. Jean's watercolors are found in many private and public collections nationally and internationally. After Carolyn Vaughan received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska, she has taught art in a private school in Massachusetts and held positions in a number of organizations.
