Author Information

Ruth Elias (1922-2008) was a Jewish woman who was sent to Auschwitz, where she and her unborn child were experimented upon by Dr. Josef Mengele. For decades after the Holocaust, she spoke of her experiences and of her solidarity with other women prisoners. Rebecca Gallagher is an experienced narrator who specializes in a range of genres from fiction to inspirational. She received two Audie nominations for The Secret Holocaust Diaries. In addition to her voiceover work, she has also performed in a variety of stage and video productions. Margot Bettauer Dembo is an award-winning translator whose credits include works by Judith Hermann, Robert Gernhardt, and Joachim Fest, among others. She has been recognized with the Helen and Kurt Wolff Translator's Prize and the Goethe-Institut/Berlin Translator's Prize.
