OverviewJohn Zedolik has come to organize his poetry based upon three primary sources of inspiration: observation, recollection, and rumination. This collection includes approximately ninety lyric poems ordered by these themes. These poems demonstrate the importance of paying attention to aspects of one's mental, emotional, and physical life--even apparently minor aspects--as every moment is sui generis and a source of inspiration for not only the composition of poetry but the continuing appreciation of walking, thinking, and feeling upon this earth. Moreover, readers might find themselves considering their own sources of inspiration for any endeavor--artistic or otherwise. Table of ContentsReviews""John Zedolik might be our favorite of the many poets we've published during New Pop Lit's eleven-year existence, for two reasons. First, his poems are endlessly recitable. This collection contains countless lines fun to verbally toss around, as if one is standing on a Shakespearean stage. Second, John's poems have tangible reality to them, conjuring images of the actual world. Of humanity and reality. An excellent collection."" --Karl Wenclas, Editor, New Pop Lit Author InformationJohn Zedolik is an adjunct English professor at Chatham University and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. In 2019, he published his first full-length collection, Salient Points and Sharp Angles, and in 2021 his second collection, When the Spirit Moves Me, which is spiritually themed. His third collection, Mother Mourning, was published in 2023; his fourth, The Ramifications, in 2024; and his fifth, Lovers' Progress, in 2025. Zedolik's iPhone is his primary poetry notebook, which is invaluable in preserving inspiration. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
