Aronow, MD is Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiology Research at Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, USA. Dr. Aronow earned his MD degree from Harvard Medical School. He has edited 24 books and is an author in 1,895 papers, 225 book chapters in 118 books, 993 commentaries, 50 Letters to the Editor, and 1,227 abstracts. Dr. Aronow is a Fellow of the ACC, AHA, The ACP, the ACCP, the ASPC, the AGS, and the GSA. He has been a member of 185 editorial boards of medical journals. He has received 90 awards. Dr. Aronow has been a member of 4 national guidelines committees including being an author of the 2010 AMDA guidelines for heart failure, a co-chair and first author of the 2011 ACC/AHA expert consensus document on hypertension in the elderly, an author of the 2015 AHA/ACC/ASH scientific statement on treatment of hypertension in patients with coronary artery disease, and an author of the 2017 ACC/AHA guidelines for the management of patients with hypertension. He has been a committee member of numerous professional societies and a consultant to many government agencies. He earned his MD from the University of Cincinnati and trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease at Washington University in St. Louis.
