This story is about Trenton the turtle who travels through the ocean along with his family to find a new home and discovers the many treasures of the ocean along the way. The story shares valuable information about the various turtles and sea creatures that are live in the ocean.Many of them are close to extinction, so I hope my story will educate and ignite a desire to protect them and their environment for future generations. The small shrimp illustration found on each page is a tribute to the shrimp who continue to have a long history of living and flourishing in the waters around Amelia Island. A percentage of the sale of this book goes to the many different turtle rescue organizations. Join Trenton and his ocean friends in our special coloring and activity book, as a complement to the book Trenton the Traveling Turtle. All the underwater adventure from Trenton's travels is created to allow your children to use their imagination to enjoy simple puzzles, games, and coloring. Many of the illustrations come straight from Trenton's story book, so you will recognize the turtles, sea creatures, and even a familiar little shrimp hiding on each page! Author Information

I live on Amelia Island, Florida, with my husband, David, our two Golden Retrievers, and three cats. We are fortunate to live on the intercoastal waterway and close to the beach. We enjoy our adventures at the beach and travels to the North Carolina mountains for the lovely cool summer months. Besides writing and illustrating, my other passion is running with my girlfriends in various road and trail races. Since retiring, I have had it in the back of my mind to write down my favorite stories.Once out swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, I had a rare encounter with a sea turtle. This experience heightened my fascination with these beautiful sea creatures. As a long-time teacher, I was always involved with reading various books. At one point of my career, I was asked to serve as the media specialist in an elementary school library. This is when I was able to immerse myself in wonderful books on animals including turtles. From that point, I started telling my own stories to my children, who then referred to me as ""Ms. Dr. Slater."" This is how my story developed into what you are about to read. I hope you enjoy it!
