Author Information

Dr. Rajkumar S Amaravati DNB, MNAMS, FRCS; graduated from Karnataka University Dharwad (1987). He completed his master’s in orthopedics from the National Board of Examinations New Delhi (1996) and is currently Professor of Orthopedics and Head of the Division of Arthroscopy, Sports Injury, Joint Preservation, and Regenerative Medicine at St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore, India. He has more than 70 published articles in peer-reviewed journals at the state, national, and international levels. He was awarded membership to the National Academy of Medical Sciences New Delhi (2001) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, in 2017. He also completed his fellowship training in trauma, sports, and advanced shoulder surgery in France, Toulouse, (2010–11, 2019), and FIFA Centre of Medical Excellence Porto, Portugal (2018).
