Author Information

Jake Barrett, an accomplished historian, has been studying the Great War since 2016. Reared in a military family, Jake was educated in the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. He took an early interest in his family's involvement in European wars, from the Franco-Prussian war to the Great War, having had grandfathers in both. At the end of each war his forebearers migrated to the Americas; one went to the United States of America in the 1870's, the other to the Republic of Panama in the 1920's. Jake has written this historical fictional narrative, using his characters to demonstrate a perspective from his own German heritage. This novel is the culmination of years of research, study, and writing, and reflects the author's love and passion for the topic.
