Overview

Includes CD-ROM. When I began to write this book, in order to promote my documentary mainly to the Greek Cypriots who would not have the chance to watch it on the Greek channels, I never thought that anyone from outside of Cyprus would become interested in my work. A few months after the release of my first interviews in local newspapers, many e-mails came from around the world, as far as Brazil, asking for my documentary. Just when I started losing hope that my documentary and my peace efforts would never reach beyond North Cyprus, a phone call changed my destiny -- a journalist from Cyprus Mail gave me a platform. His article was later found in many news web pages from Le Figaro to Official European Union pages, to chat rooms. I decided to add two chapters in the beginning of the English version to help the readers to better understand the environment in which the book was written. -- Taken from the Author's Note.
