Overview

This book aims to contribute to worldwide debates on internationalization. It offers new insights and perspectives on internationalization and trans-national higher education (TNHE) with contributions from three continents. These include the student experience in Malaysia, China, Japan and India as well as institutional perspectives and pedagogical implications of new research. The authors offer analysis of how TNHE affects students, teachers and institutions within and across continents. Countries and systems which are relatively new to hosting international students go through similar processes of adaptation by students, faculty members and university managers alike. Authors from the USA and Malaysia show experiences of internationalisation in common with those reported elsewhere.
