Automated translations can break down language barriers and increase access to information, but they can also be highly inaccurate. Lucas N. Vieira is Associate Professor at the University of Bristol. He received a New Investigator Award from the UK's Economic and Social Research Council and is a former Arts and Humanities Research Council Fellow.
