Transition to Nursing Practice: Strengthening KSAs for Career Success, is an evidence-based online course designed to address the practice gap observed by faculty and experienced by graduating nursing students. Extensively piloted and course tested, this resource seeks to further prepare students to confidently and competently transition into a role in clinical practice, enhancing their professional skills and employability. The course presents many key issues new nurses will encounter such as infection prevention, conflict management, transcultural healthcare, and pain management, just to name a few. Additionally, the course offers comprehensive case studies and simulation algorithms using the two most frequently affected systems: respiratory and cardiovascular. Created by faculty experts and based on extensive field study through a collaborative initiative with state of Nevada, this course is evidence-based with demonstrated, measurable outcomes. This is the perfect addition to a capstone course, clinical requirement, or a regular program of study.
