He is a Senior Fellow at the Demography and Sociology Program, the Australian National University, and a Bye-Fellow at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge. Prior to taking up the present appointment, he worked at University of Cambridge, the Australian National University, University of New South Wales, the East-West Centre of Hawaii and Peking University. He received a PhD from University of Cambridge. Dr. Fei Guo is a Senior Lecturer in demography at the Macquarie University, Australia. She received her postgraduate education, with a Ph.D. in Sociology, from the University of Hawaii and the East-West Center, and was an Andrew Mellon Post-doctoral Fellow at the Australian National University.
