Priscilla L. Sagar EdD, RN, ACNS-BC, CTN-A has the distinction of being selected as a Transcultural Scholar by the Transcultural Nursing Society. She is Professor of Nursing, Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, NY, USA and previous chair of the division, as well as being part-time online faculty at University of Phoenix's School of Advanced Studies. Certified in transcultural nursing and adult health, Dr. Sagar presents cultural competency workshops and consults on cultural diversity and promotion of cultural competence. Her publications include a contribution to Clinical Teaching (Hanley & Belfus, PA), and the Springer Publishing title, Giving Through Teaching. Professional memberships include Sigma Theta Tau International; Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS); Philippine Nurses Association; NYSNA, Council on Nursing Education (2002-2006); and Transcultural Nursing Certification Commission's Eligibility and Credentialing Committee. Dr. Sagar is a trained onsite evaluator of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
