The key achievement in this work was the development of a reliable method to determine the thermal accelerations in spacecraft that proved to be essential in solving the longstanding problem of the Pioneer anomaly. Besides his main focus on physics, he has also collaborated in research activities related to rail infrastructure maintenance and management and cultivates a wide range of personal interests including economy and politics.
