Author Information

Meenu Kanojia is an independent historian. Her areas of specialization include history of western India under the Portuguese and development of banking and commerce, in the specific context of Bombay. She has formerly taught History at St. Andrews College, Mumbai. She has also been a research guide at Heras Institute of Ancient Indian History and Culture, Mumbai. A contributor to the book, India 24 Hours, she has also presented scholarly papers at various international conferences and has published in several leading Indian and international journals.
