OverviewCharming hand-drawn illustrations accompanied by an intriguing and witty story, Tractor Worries gently introduces children to mindful breathing for self-regulation. Join Max on his Astro Adventure travelling to a far-away planet to help his friends. Can he stay calm under pressure and fix their tractor? Find out about Max's creative problem-solving and see how he overcomes a challenging situation with mindful breathing. A page with suggested questions helps explore the story further to help build your child's empathy skills, an important tool for building connections and regulating one's own emotions. The story is written in a non-directive way so children are free to observe and digest the information at their own pace without being told 'Try this!' or 'Do you ever feel like this?'. Some children, especially those with demand-avoidance patterns of behaviour, might find this way preferable as it does not put them in the spotlight. The story does not make assumptions about the reader's own worries and feelings, it simply offers an insight into another child's thought process and worries and introduces a possible way of overcoming a difficult situation.
