MIKE BUTLER has written eight books on various histories of Colorado and New Mexico since retiring as a section manager for Denver Parks and Recreation. His books include five titles with Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series: Around the Spanish Peaks; Great Sand Dunes National Park; Southern Colorado: O.T. Davis Collection; Littleton; and High Road to Taos. He has also written three books for Fonthill Media's America Through Time series: Tracking the Chili Line Railroad to Santa Fe; Tracking the Narrow Gauge from Chama to Durango; and Getting Around in Glacier National Park. The author specialized in geography and history in earning his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Nebraska.
