OverviewThis preprint applies physical principles, primarily principles of local causation and continuity to gauge field theory, to realise a common foundation for the Standard Model and general theory of relativity. The result is a simple relativistic quantum theory with restrictive assumptions. The Lie transformation of states is causal on locally-Euclidean spacetime. The corresponding Minkowski spacetime refers to quantum observables, including particles and gauge-invariant quantum fields. As compared with the Standard Model the cosmological constant is reduced. A manifestly unitary theory of quantum gravity is derived with conserved probability density on local Euclidean spacetime, corresponding to general relativity without torsion. A prediction that matter and antimatter attract is to be tested directly by experiment. The consequent quantum vacuum effects model galactic dynamics, dark matter, dark energy, and possibly explain large discrepancies in measurement of the Newtonian gravitational constant.
