Amidst the decaying splendour of Tottering Hall in the county of Pimmshire, Lord and Lady Tottering live the archetypal country life. Daffy Tottering in 'wellies and pearls', drinks gin, smokes Silk Cuts, diets permanently and frets about her descending bosom, whilst her husband Dicky lives for hunting, shooting and fishing and fears women with lap tops and mobile phones infiltrating his club. Annie Tempest is one of the top cartoonists working today. Her creation 'Tottering-by-Gently' which began as a strip in Country Life is now syndicated to 12 countries and prints sell for many hundreds of pounds. She was Strip Cartoonist of the year in 1989.
