OverviewTotally Different, Totally Friends was first published as a coloring book in 2013 and is now available as this beautiful full-color book telling the story of two dachshunds that know how to be a good friend. Although it's a fictional tale, it was inspired by two ""real"" dachshunds named Lady and Bella that had very different personalities and traits, yet became the very best of friends. The fictional story was inspired by a childhood friendship. The author, Annette, recounts the first meeting of a young friend that she met when she was ten years old shortly after moving to Texas. The young girl was very different from herself in many ways and yet they too became best friends. Totally Different Totally Friends teaches children that friends can be very different from each other and still be friends - even best friends! Seven important friendship lessons are highlighted in this educational hardback storybook with colorful and entertaining illustrations. It's a dachshund world! A group activity guide for teachers is included in the back of the book.
