Torrid Times in Texas is an adult-themed journey where the author, Byron Sinclair, an advertising executive and erotic romance author, is banished to Austin, Texas. He teaches writing at the university, where he meets Claire Rosner at the start of his second year. Ms. Rosner is a well-known author who has written a popular series of books about a time traveler, Lorraine, who consistently experiences unrequited romantic episodes. The couple connects at a welcome party given for Claire after she accepts a Distinguished Professorship at the school to escape the sex scandal plaguing her in New York.
