Reviews

""[Rugeley] provides an excellent translation. . . . This kind of translation is achieved by portraying and bringing back an extraordinary use of the Mexican vocabulary--idiomatic expression--of the time. . . . Reading [Torment and Tequila in Belle Epoque Mexico] made me feel like I was reading the same José López Portillo y Rojas in his rural state of Jalisco, México."" --Alejandro Cortazar, author of Reforma, novela y nación: México en el siglo XIX
