I'm a professor of rhetoric and writing at The University of Texas at Austin. There, I study workplaces and how people circulate information through them. My first book, Tracing Genres through Organizations, was published by MIT Press in 2003 and was named NCTE's 2004 Best Book in Technical or Scientific Communication.
