Clive Batty is the author of more than 20 football books, including The England Compendium, The Little Book of England and 1966, The 50th Anniversary. His work has featured in the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph and FourFourTwo among other publications. He first saw England play live in 1973, a disappointing 1-0 friendly defeat to Italy at Wembley.
