Curtis Wideman was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois and graduated from Evanston Township High School (ETHS) in 2011.Curtis continued his education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois through a track scholarship. Curtis was a vital member of the Evanston Township High School track team from 2009 to 2011 as well as the Southern Illinois University (SIU) track team from 2011 to 2015. Curtis graduated from Southern Illinois University in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Digital Media. Curtis is currently in graduate school at SIU and will graduate in May 2017 with a Master's in Sports Studies. Curtis would like to work with at-risk youth by using sports as a vehicle to help them to continue their education. Curtis is also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Mu Kappa Lambda Chapter.
