Overview

A charming poem about a two-year-old girl and a puppy. When Alicia comes to visit her Aunt Bobbie, she meets Tommy, a mischievous puppy. Tommy loves having a new playmate. He also loves getting into trouble. Through their misadventures, Tommy quickly earns his new name: Tommy No! Although her patience is tested, Alicia is a natural Dog Whisperer and ultimately wins the day!

Ruth Berggren holds a Ph.D. in English literature. Michael Nelson is founder (with his wife, Valerie Nelson) of Magical Moonshine Theater, an internationally acclaimed touring puppet theatre. Since 1979, the company has toured their shows coast to coast in the US, and in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Michael studied puppetry with Muppet creator Jim Henson at the International Institute of Puppetry in France, and sculpture and drawing with artist Joseph Query. In addition to performing, Michael is also currently an Artist in Residence at Willow Arts Magnet Elementary School in Napa where he and Valerie teach puppetry, drama, music and visual arts to a slew of talented students. He misses his little long haired chihuahua, Bella, who was every bit as cute as Tommy in the book!
