Overview

Mara finds his weary jaunt into the jaws of death taking him into the hot swamps of Akoria, his path residing onto an island close to the bustling metropolis of New Benfurth. There he comes across a strange funeral process, his interests given reason when he sights the beautiful Ezri. He slowly learns that she's a member of the Hawk clan, a group of warrior men and women driven to ideas of revolution. But their light is hampered by the horrid Reapers- a group of escaped convicts, intent in destroying the Hawks and ravaging the lands. Slowly, great intrigues arise, with the appearance of the imperial Baiku, a man driven with worries concerning the Hawks and their revolutionary ideas. All is overshadowed by the presence of the Gorlhov, a demon used by the Hawks to train and test their young warriors. All is not as it seems, as a silver haired insurgent wages a one-man war against the Reapers and the Hawks, driven by an innate sense of right and wrong. Mara delves into the lures of right and wrong, demon and man, split as his lusts and passions for Ezri drive him wild and into the jaws of adversity against Morone, the leader of the Reapers, and Havacre, the leader of the Hawks.
