OverviewThis work studies Raja Mansingh Tomar of Gwalior and the Tomar monuments (viz. palaces, gates, tanks etc) which have survived in the Gwalior Fort. Though it had a very short time span of 40 years (1486-1526), it was a potential precursor to the versatile and prolific architectural style of the Imperial Mughals of India.
