Overview

"Tom Song-Thrush is a young bird, expert songster ...and troubled soul. He has grown up listening to his dad's tales of unfeathered (humans) interference with the environment and the decline of his, and many other bird species. He cares deeply about this, wants to stop it and is moved to act. Tom and his mates Darcy Dunnock, Bill Blackbird, Rosie Robin and Jennifer Wrennifer come up with an ingenious plan that might just work ...... It requires patience, tenacity, teamwork, discipline and a healthy dollop of luck! Can they pull it off ....? ""Tom Song-Thrush and the Big Hush"" is an uplifting, funny and heart warming tale about friendship, loyalty, determination, camaraderie, love and ... conservation told through the eyes of the main character."

Reviews

Great bird characters and a story that will get children more interested in the world of birds and the way we treat our world. A first book from a new author with a deep interest in birdlife, I'm sure there will be more. This is a great introduction for children of the different bird species in a typical English village. Well done!
