In 2012 Margaret Dorrance and John Saint Ryan collaborated on the bookMore Than a Horseman to celebrate the life of Tom Dorrance. Margaret passed in 2018 and it was her heartfelt wish that this collection return to print to keep the stories and memories of Tom alive for all those who still remember him and for future generations. These stories are experiences that people had either in the presence of Tom orbecause of Tom. The contributors are of different backgrounds and have different skill levels. The stories are not how to do it, but rather the possibilities of how good it can be between the horse and human. In this Second Edition we have included additional stories and photographs of Tom and we hope this soft cover and smaller size allow you to carry it around easily and refer to it when you're traveling or sitting by the barn and reading. Tom's horse lessons were really life lessons, where the things he would speak of, the way he would ask you to do something with a horse, really madeyou re ect and think about how you as an individual might shape up a little more. - Enjoy!
