In ""Today We Shine"", the kids' book ""Shine!"" has been simplified for younger readers' enjoyment! Ellison McWellison loves singing more than anything, and is one of the star singers in his school choir. But his dad is immunocompromised, so he is one of the few students who wears a mask in school to keep his family safe from covid. Will looking different be a problem in choir, in tryouts, or for dealing with the school bully? You can't be a star every day, he finds out, but some days, you shine! All proceeds from sales will be donated to organizations working to make schools and communities safer and healthier, with focus on reducing the spread of illness generally, as well as supporting higher risk community members.
