OverviewTobias Augustus Matthay (1858 - 1945) was an English pianist, composer, and teacher. He read composition while at the Royal Academy of Music under Arthur Sullivan and Sir William Sterndale Bennett, and he was instructed in the piano by William Dorrell and Walter Macfarren. This volume contains his Five Cameos for Miniature Players, Op. 29 , a collection of musical scores for solo piano. The compositions include: Distant Horns , Missing , Dancing , Pranks , and Impetuosity .
