"Katie Overgard is an artist and author from Lone Tree, Colorado. She earned a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Colorado, Boulder and has used her education in writing to present kids with ideas about kindness and the magic of learning. With previous published books ""Claire and the Magic Wings"" and ""Claire and the Bully,"" the author approaches real life issues for young kids that can often be overlooked by adults as unimportant or trivial. Helping kids understand the importance of and how to handle their own day to day experiences is a topic that is always interwoven into the author's work.
